Mayor Adnan Shaikh highlighted AI's substantial benefits for companies while emphasizing the importance of legally compliant use amid challenges linked to sensitive data processing. Shaikh expressed confidence in the city's responsible AI development, encouraging attendees to leverage expert insights and networking opportunities for future success.

Ramona Müller, interim head of economic development, remarked on the high interest among German businesses in integrating AI technologies to enhance operations. Speakers at the event showcased practical applications, including Biniam Berhe from Elenco Professional Services who demonstrated how AI can improve recruitment decisions and streamline processes. Additionally, Thomas Thelen and Adrian Podgorski of ThePod KI Beauftragter GmbH provided guidance on compliant AI usage, offering actionable steps and success criteria drawn from real examples.

Meanwhile, the German market is attracting international AI firms. American companies such as Open AI, Anthropic, and Cohere are establishing local offices to tap into Germany’s growing AI sector. Cohere's CEO, Aidan Gomez, confirmed plans to open a branch in Germany, underscoring the country’s significant growth potential for AI technologies.
