Baden-Württemberg Allocates €1.1 Million to Support SME Consultations in 2026

The Ministry of Economy, Crafts and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg has announced a €1.1 million funding program for 2026 aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through subsidized consultancy services. This initiative will provide a total of 13,616 consultation days to companies primarily in the crafts, services, industry, and trade sectors.

Targeting businesses with fewer than 250 employees, the program focuses on enhancing competitiveness and securing the future viability of SMEs. Consultations will address economic, technical, and organizational management topics, especially helping companies adapt to evolving competitive conditions.

Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economy, Crafts and Tourism, emphasized the program's crucial role: "The established SME consulting program will continue to be vital in strengthening the competitiveness and future security of small and medium-sized businesses."

The consulting services are delivered by local chambers of crafts in Baden-Württemberg, regional craft associations, and other economic organizations. These subsidized short consultations aim to empower SMEs with expert guidance to tackle challenges effectively and grow sustainably.

This initiative is underpinned by the Law for SME Promotion, reinforcing governmental commitment to supporting the backbone of the regional economy through targeted advisory support and investment in their development.
