DeepL Expands AI Language Platform with 70 New Languages and Enterprise Features

DeepL, the Cologne-based AI startup renowned for its translation technology, has unveiled its most extensive language expansion to date, adding 70 new languages to its platform. This addition brings the total number of supported languages close to 100, including all 24 official European Union languages and nearly all of the world's 20 most spoken languages. This move positions DeepL to better assist businesses in navigating and overcoming language barriers that often result in tangible revenue and efficiency losses, a critical challenge for export-oriented countries like Germany.

Alongside the expanded language support, DeepL has launched new enterprise capabilities such as the Customization Hub. A survey highlighted by DeepL reveals that 64% of businesses plan to increase investment in AI language technologies this year, with German companies leading at 74%.
