Digital Hub Grafschaft Bentheim Empowers SMEs with Free Digital Transformation Support

A new Digital Hub has opened at the Grafschafter TechnologieZentrum in Nordhorn, offering practical digitalization assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Grafschaft Bentheim region. This initiative aims to help companies integrate digital technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), 3D printing, collaborative robots, and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their operations.

The Digital Hub provides free, low-threshold services including digitalization checks that assess a company's current digital status and offer tailored recommendations. Businesses also have access to digital coaches who support project planning, addressing common challenges SMEs face between managing daily business and adopting digital technologies. Regular workshops and presentations focus on topics relevant to SMEs, such as "Digitalization in Craftsmanship" and "AI for SMEs," with an upcoming online event "Strategically Approaching AI" scheduled for May 28, 2026.

Landrat Uwe Fietzek highlighted that the hub prioritizes practical application rather than theory, guiding companies from concept through to implementation. The project is a collaboration between Landkreis Grafschaft Bentheim, the IT service provider Emsland, and Grafschafter TechnologieZentrum, supported financially by Lower Saxony and the European Union through the Zukunftsregion Ems-Vechte initiative.
