The Social Democratic Party (SPD) emphasized the necessity of a clear, collective message to U.S. President Donald Trump regarding his aggressive Greenland policy. SPD's foreign policy spokesperson, Adis Ahmetović, stated, "Europe must not be intimidated by Trump. We must set a stop sign together regarding Greenland. Trump needs to hear it clearly." This reflects the party's push for Europe to respond robustly to Washington's maneuvers.

Armin Laschet of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), meanwhile, assessed the risk of military conflict between Europe and the U.S. over this issue as unlikely but warned of escalating pressures.
