German U17 Women's Football Team Clinches Ninth European Championship with 1-0 Win Over France

The German U17 women's football team triumphed over France with a 1-0 victory in the 2026 European Championship final held in Belfast, claiming their ninth U17-EM title since the competition began in 2008. The winning goal came in the 29th minute from Marie Kleemann, who capitalized on a defensive error in the French penalty area. The match took place under challenging weather conditions reminiscent of the Fritz-Walter weather, posing an additional test for both teams.

Goalkeeper Mirja Kropp played a crucial role, making vital saves that preserved Germany's narrow lead against French attempts, notably from Mayra Bento and Rachael Adedini.
