Germany and Brazil Deepen Environmental and Economic Cooperation at Hannover Messe 2026

Germany and Brazil are strengthening their cooperation in environmental protection and climate policy, highlighted during the 2026 Hannover Messe where Brazil is the partner country. German environmental initiatives focus on biodiversity, soil protection, chemical safety, air and water quality, climate adaptation, circular economy, and nuclear safety. Parallel to environmental collaboration, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced plans to double bilateral trade volume with Brazil, which currently exceeds 20 billion euros.
