Gothaer Straub Group Drives Growth with Innovation and New Facilities

The Gothaer Straub Group, comprising Straub KG and strawa Wärmetechnik GmbH, is showcasing remarkable business growth amid challenging economic conditions affecting many sectors. Recently, Marion Walsmann and Claudia Heber, Members of the European Parliament, visited the companies in Gotha on September 24, 2026, underscoring the significance of their expansion.

Straub KG is recognized as a world leader in the manufacture of stainless steel distributors for heating and cooling systems, leveraging a unique internal pressure forming technique. Their innovative products include self-learning control drives and fresh water stations that heat drinking water only as needed, enhancing energy efficiency and hygiene. The company designs and produces nearly all components and machinery in-house, a key element in their economic success.

In 2025, the group completed a new 3600-square-meter facility in Gotha, equipped with a photovoltaic system and plans for battery storage aimed at reducing energy costs. Additionally, the "strawa-Campus" is under construction to support training and events. The Straub Group is actively recruiting qualified personnel and currently trains 15 apprentices, reflecting strong growth and an increase in applications.

Marion Walsmann, a member of the European Parliament's Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, highlighted the importance of expanding and investing in innovation during economically difficult times.
