Massive Brawl Halts Kreisliga C Match in Main-Kinzig-Kreis with Three Injured

A Kreisliga C football match between Spvgg. Hüttengesäß II and RW Großauheim II in Main-Kinzig-Kreis ended abruptly on Sunday due to a violent mass brawl involving players and spectators. The conflict ignited in the 84th minute when Hüttengesäß was leading 4-2, after a foul led a 29-year-old Großauheim player to repeatedly punch a 27-year-old Hüttengesäß player. This sparked an intense fight on the field, which escalated further as spectators joined in the altercation. The referee had already issued two red cards before calling off the match amidst ongoing violence. Police responded promptly to bystanders’ alerts, arriving with multiple units to secure the scene, collect statements, and launch two investigations for bodily harm and aggravated bodily harm. In total, three people were injured during the incident, including the two players directly involved and one additional person.
