Rapper Haftbefehl Announces Performance Hiatus Amid Ongoing Health Struggles

Rapper Haftbefehl, real name Aykut Anhan, has announced a pause from live performances due to persistent health issues. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 40-year-old artist shared that he is not currently in the emotional or physical state required to perform. This decision comes after he canceled two major festival appearances: the Heroes Festival in Geiselwind just hours before his set, and earlier at the World Club Dome in Frankfurt.

Haftbefehl attributed his health struggles to long-standing personal challenges worsened by the heightened public attention following his Netflix documentary, "Babo – Die Haftbefehl-Story." The film candidly portrays his battles with drug addiction, including cocaine use and a near-fatal overdose that necessitated resuscitation. However, he has not clarified if his current health concerns are directly related to his past substance abuse.

The rapper expressed a strong need for peace and time to recover, emphasizing, "I fight every day to get back on my feet." Haftbefehl thanked his fans for their patience, support, and respect amid this difficult period. While he has concerts planned for the fall in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Berlin, the length of his hiatus remains uncertain.
