Two Brothers Arrested in Kiel for Large-Scale Drug Trafficking with Over €315,000 Worth of Drugs Seized

In a major crackdown in Kiel, two brothers aged 37 and 44 were arrested for allegedly operating a significant drug trafficking ring from a local café. Authorities, including customs officers and special police units, raided multiple locations in the city, uncovering more than three kilograms of high-purity cocaine, 1.5 kilograms of heroin, and 20 kilograms of cutting agents. The estimated street value of these confiscated drugs is approximately €315,000.

The raids also revealed drug packaging materials, scales, and substances hidden within the property walls, signaling preparation for distribution. Law enforcement seized substantial assets including €140,000 in cash—of which €100,000 was concealed inside a pillow—two gold bars valued at over €11,000, and gold jewelry worth more than €4,000. A loaded firearm with ammunition was also discovered in one of the brothers' apartments.

The investigation began during the summer with the aim to dismantle the drug ring and curb illicit drug distribution in the region. Following the court's orders, both suspects were remanded in custody by the Kiel District Court at the request of the public prosecutor's office. Authorities continue to probe the case to uncover further elements of the drug operation.
