Violent Clash Erupts Post-Derby at Buchholz Train Station

A violent brawl broke out at Buchholz train station on Saturday evening following the football derby between Hamburger SV (HSV) and Werder Bremen. The altercation involved three HSV supporters fighting with at least two other passengers who had traveled on a regional train. During the fight, one person was reportedly punched multiple times in the face, while another sustained a minor injury after being struck by a thrown beer can.

Police intervened and managed to apprehend the three suspects at the scene. One suspect attempted to flee, prompting officers to use pepper spray to subdue him. Authorities have called on witnesses to come forward and assist with their ongoing investigation.

In response to the incident, HSV publicly condemned the violence and disassociated themselves from the aggressive behavior displayed after their derby loss. The club emphasized caution against generalizing the entire HSV fan community based on the actions of a few individuals.
