Borussia Dortmund has confirmed the extension of captain Emre Can's contract by one year, demonstrating the club's confidence in his leadership and commitment despite his current injury. The 32-year-old midfielder, who joined Dortmund in 2020 from Juventus for roughly 25 million euros, has been a crucial figure with 220 competitive appearances, 23 goals, and 12 assists, contributing to Dortmund’s 2021 DFB-Pokal victory.
