Schaeffler and Neura Robotics Collaborate on €300 Million Humanoid Robot Order for Industrial Production

German technology firm Neura Robotics has secured a substantial contract valued at approximately €300 million as it partners with automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler to integrate humanoid robots into industrial production networks. According to the Schwäbische Zeitung, Schaeffler plans to deploy several thousand of Neura Robotics' bipedal robots within its global production system by the year 2035.

Neura Robotics specializes in developing cognitive and humanoid robots capable of performing labor-intensive tasks such as lifting heavy objects and executing repetitive production processes using artificial intelligence. This collaboration aims not just to supply the robots but also to jointly develop and supply essential components for humanoid robotics.

David Reger, founder of Neura Robotics, underscored the importance of actively advancing new technology, while Andreas Schick, Schaeffler's production chief, described humanoid robotics as a key future growth area. He commended Neura Robotics as one of Europe’s most innovative companies in this space. Beyond this immediate contract, Neura Robotics has set an ambitious goal to deliver five million cognitive and humanoid robots by 2030.

This partnership reflects a strategic shift towards next-generation automation technologies within German industrial manufacturing, combining robotics innovation with existing industrial expertise to boost efficiency and transform production processes on a large scale. The significant financial commitment highlights confidence in robotics as a long-term growth sector for Schaeffler and underscores Neura Robotics' emergence as a major supplier in this field.
