Tim Torn Teutenberg Shines at 2026 German Track Cycling Championships in Kaarst

At the 2026 German Track Cycling Championships held in Kaarst-Büttgen, emerging cycling talent Tim Torn Teutenberg made a powerful statement by defending his title in the elimination race. The 23-year-old accomplished athlete claimed two gold medals: one in the elimination race and another in the Madison event alongside Moritz Augenstein. Adding to his success, Teutenberg also secured a silver medal in the Scratch event.

A two-time European Champion in the elimination race (2023 and 2025) and the 2024 Madison World Champion with Roger Kluge, Teutenberg has been a professional cyclist for Lidl-Trek since 2025, competing on both the track and in one-day road races.

His sister, Lea Lin Teutenberg, also impressed by winning gold in the women’s Madison event with Messane Bräutigam. The NRW region proved a hotbed of young talent with Josefine Wendel setting a German record in the women’s youth elimination race individual pursuit and earning bronze in the 500m time trial.

In the boys’ elimination race, local riders Kilian Schmitz and Gustav Grebe took silver and bronze respectively. Additionally, Moritz Mauss clinched victory in the elite points race by gaining a lap advantage.
