In recent initiatives across Germany, young people are actively advocating for greater political participation and local engagement. In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, during the 'Youth in Landtag' event, 30 youths presented their demands for more involvement in politics, improved public transport options, and a free transport ticket for those under 27 years old. The discussions emphasized important issues such as mental health, protection from hate and extremism, and the need for political education starting from primary school. Participants noted an alarming rise in online hate, calling for better resources for law enforcement to combat these challenges.

In Falkensee, the Jugendforum is set to host its inaugural Youth Conference on October 2, 2025, at the Jugendclub Saftladen. This event will see the election of a new youth council, which has represented the interests of local youth for six years. The conference aims to discuss available services and activities for youth in the area, while providing a relaxed atmosphere, complete with free pizza and drinks to encourage open dialogues. Finnja Nahnsen expressed enthusiasm for the informal discussions and encouraged the participation of all local youths.

These events highlight the increasing interest and involvement of young people in local governance, reflecting a growing movement towards youth-led political engagement throughout Germany.
